The basis of Old Hunter´s N°4 Reserve, with a history dating back to the beginning of the 16th century, is formed by carefully-selected rye distillate ageing in oak barrels along with natural dried-fruit infusions. The precise secret recipe and ratio of ingredients have been guarded for centuries.
The unique process of double ageing in selected white oak barrels for four years, where, for the first 3 years, the delicate distillate ages in selected white-oak barrels. Afterwards, this distillate is blended with natural dried-fruit infusions and poured again into oak barrels for one more year. The result of this ageing is a refined whisky-like taste with a warm flavour of orchard fruit in the finish.

Old Hunter’s 7YO Selection rye whisky (Limited Edition) is carefully aged for seven years in oak barrels.
This unique ageing process allows the whisky to take on the distinct character of the oldest European distillery. After four years, the whisky develops a smooth and fruity taste.
Only the best barrels, chosen according to a 4 + 3 recipe, are selected to continue ageing for an additional three years, resulting in a more complex and distinct flavour, which has been awarded as the Winner of the World Whisky Masters 2020.
